A Twist on a Tree

A fun way to try something new in place (or with!) your Christmas tree.

Whether you’re worried about this year’s tree shortage or just looking to switch things up, this twist on a traditional tree is easy, fun and festive. Here’s how to do it.

1. Buy a pack of garland in the color and style of your choice.

Garland as low as $1.99

2. Pick up some craft supplies to make your own ornaments or get some bulbs and some twinkle lights.

3. Measure out strips of garland on your wall, starting with short strips at the top first and increasing size as you go down, so that garland strips form the shape of a Christmas tree. Secure pieces with Command strips, double sided craft tape, or tacks. Start from one side and string your tree along the wall where you measured.

4. Once your garland “tree” is up, it’s time to decorate! Add your favorite ornaments, like the amazing ones you just made.

5. Wrap your presents and place them under your “tree.”
