What is EBT Cash?

EBT Cash is a form of payment used in conjunction with EBT programs, also known as Electronic Benefits Transfer programs. Participants in government benefits programs receive and spend funds electronically using a plastic EBT Cash card and a unique pin, much like a bank debit card. The funds are automatically withdrawn from their benefits account. Please note, EBT Cash is not SNAP or WIC, and can only be used for eligible purchases. To find out if you qualify and understand allowable purchases, please contact your an EBT office near you.

Please note, at this time, EBT Cash Cards are not accepted as a form of payment for layaway purchases.
